I wrote VAMPIRELLA OF DRAKULON #1-3 (Harris Comics, 1996). In the eighties in Berkeley, there was (and maybe still is) a "sex underground" newspaper called THE SPECTATOR. It was (or is) first the sleazy companion to THE BERKELEY BARB, the trend setting underground paper from the same company, then the BARB's replacement. Among other adventures described in my ongoing autobiography, posted at a host of T. Casey Brennan fan pages, I also worked as a nude model for art classes in bygone days. For the past few years, I've supplemented my income as a free-lance writer by working for various art classes as a male nude model. I keep my body in good shape with daily exercise, consisting of Yoga postures, karate kicks and punches, and push-ups.

Most women who attend art classes are perfect ladies. Their interest in attending class is legitimate. They wish to learn how to draw. However, there is another factor present in certain classes I've done. Women who tease the model. Of course, they are a very, very small minority, but a very distracting minority nonetheless.

It seems there are certain women who cannot tolerate the sight of a nude man with a limp organ, and feel that they are obligated, by some unwritten code, to do something about it. I divide these teasers into several categories, although I've come across lady artists who have run the entire gamut of tricks described here, and then some.

I. LIP LICKERS, HEAD TOSSERS, AND FINGER SUCKERS.

The women in this category must be sternly differentiated from those who perform the same aforementioned acts unconsciously and innocently. Women who are out to tease the model make it damned well clear just what they are doing. There is no mistaking their intention, or puzzling over possible double meanings.

These women will run their tongues seductively over their lips anytime the teacher isn't looking. This might be accompanied by a toss of the head, and concluded with the fewmale artist sucking her finger and looking longingly at the model's organ.

II. LEG SPREADERS AND STOCKING FIXERS.

Most women wear slacks to an art class, but I've seen women in dresses sitting with their legs and panties exposed; I've also seen them arrange their stockings, all in front of a nude male model. One girl, about 19 years old, spent about ten minutes arranging her artist's stand, wearing a split dress and keeping her left leg so that it was constantly revealed to the hip, during the process. That must have been hard enough to take for the men who weren't nude and the center of her attention; she was gorgeous.

III. MODEL CHARGERS.

These women literally charge the model, at break time, or after class, before he has time to get back into his clothes. They'll sit down and start up a conversation. I've had them even put their hands on my bare thigh during these impromptu conversations without any encouragement on my part. I just wanted to get to my clothes.

IV. MODEL STANDER-UPPERS.

At the first sign of an erection on the male model, she insists that the next pose be done standing, she then switches to Class I.

V. FLOOR KNEELERS AND SITTERS.

Ostensibly to get a better angle, these girls actually sit or kneel at the foot of the platform on which the male nude model is standing. Depending on their courage, this may be accompanied by not only all the Class I offenses, but also by seductive stretching and squirming about. Very rough on the model concentrating on a pose, girls, though I never told any of you that in person! I just assumed you already knew.

VI. WOMEN WHO DRESS TO TEASE THE MODEL.

Half buttoned blouses that fall open onto braless young breasts, skin-tight slacks, sweaters that rise up to leave navel and midriff-exposed, T-shirts that show the exact contour of the breasts and nipples, even see-through blouses - all of these are considered fair game by female model teasers.

A nude model is highly embarrass when he becomes aroused sexually in an art class. Women who succeed in getting the model excited, usually will not let up. If they get it up, they feel justified in doing about anything to keep it up, from Class I through VI. This can make for occassional difficult situations.

Of course, the average art class is nothing like this at all. For both model and students, the average art class is an artistic, rather than a sexual or sensual experience. But on those occassions that a woman (or more than one woman at the same time!) decides to "tease the model", the job of a male nude model can be trying indeed.
